In your eyes,what is evil?

Is evil truly a spiritual thing? Or is it simply a way that the neurons in our brains are processed? Is it a psychological thing that happens to us when given the opportunity, or is it something we simply choose to do.

I personally believe that evil lies within human nature, and it is suppressed when one has a good and honest foundation in their lives to fall back on, like God.

So what's your view on this?
